Activity 1:

The government could increase its majority in next month’s election by at least 10 seats, according to Prime Minister Robert Lang while campaigning in Melbourne today.

“Such is the disarray of the Opposition and our standing in the opinion polls,” he said.

Activity 2:

Plans have been unveiled to build a $16 million prison remand centre in Melbourne by the Victorian Government in parliament today.

Victorian Minister for Community Services Hank Williams said the cost is an estimation at the current stage of the project.
