Walker retains ‘elite agent’ status

Published in The Ararat Advocate, Ararat's weekly newspaper published by West Vic News Pty Ltd.

RAY White Ararat’s Adam Walker has been recognised as an Alan White Elite Performer for a second year by the company.

Mr Walker is a specialist senior sales consultant with 16 years of experience in the Ararat market.

He said the status within the Ray White Group puts him in the top three per cent of the company’s agents.

“Ray White are really big on monitoring people and their performance. They review the properties that you're selling and the commissions you bring in,” he said.

“Once you hit a certain level, that's when the award kicks in.”

Chairman of the Ray White Group, Brian White AO, rang Mr Walker on Tuesday to personally congratulate him on his work in Ararat.

“He rang me this afternoon and it's a bit of a thrill when someone like that rings you just to say congratulations,” Mr Walker said.

“It's a good promotion for us, for me personally but for the Ray White brand. We've got strong offices in Horsham, Ballarat, Bendigo, and Warnambool so we're surrounded by other strong offices that we work with and learn off.”

As an elite agent, Mr Walker will be able to access further training in Melbourne and interstate to boost his skill set to coincide with the booming Ararat market.

“I've been in sales for 16 years, and I did a couple of years of property management before that, and Ararat was a tough market for many of those years,” he said.

“It’s really changed in the last 18 months, and especially the last three or four months this year.

“With COVID, people are potentially moving out into regional areas and hopefully the town can continue to grow with a lot of new subdivisions coming up in the next 12-18 months.”

There is a possibility that the successful market may also assist Mr Walker in reaching the highest status within the group, Chairman Elite, this time next year.

“That's the next level so I would obviously like to get to that and potentially be a business owner at some stage,” he said.

“I couldn’t have achieved the award without the support of the amazing Ray White Ararat staff and my family.”
